Thirty-year-old Rick Hill has decided to sell his six-bedroom home in Church Road, Hockley, and has included his £152,000 car in the £1,150,000 asking price.

Rick said: “It is a bit of a novelty, but I am offering the ultimate lifestyle package. It’s a dream home, but with just two of us there it is a waste. I want to retire and I am looking for a simpler life.”

But even in “retirement” Rick plans to carry on making money by building up his investment portfolio. He says he currently owns 55 properties.

The self-made millionaire started his working life in a factory, paid just £3.50 an hour.

Six years ago, he started an online pharmacy business and has since started a separate marketing company on the internet.

He said: “I feel I have been there and done it, with the big house and the fast cars.

“I just want some chillout time now, a bit of time to relax and do what I want to do.

“It is time to move on and let someone else enjoy the house and car.”

The Lamborghini Gallardo has a top speed of 197mph.

The house with a sweeping drive and grounds, make an attractive option on their own even without the car, which cost Rick a cool £152,000.

The property has four reception rooms, a large kitchen, conservatory, an indoor swimming pool, gym and games room. Two bedrooms have ensuites and there is also a shower room.

On the market for £1,150,00, Evergreen is being sold by Essex Countryside. For more information call 01268 748428.

Britney Spears Puts Her Home Back On The Market

britney-spears-puts-her-home-back-on-the-market.jpg

For at least the third time in the past year and a half since she bought the home, Britney Spears’s six-bedroom home in the gated Summit community in the Beverly Hills post office area is back on the market. This time the faux Tuscan home is listed at $7.9 million, the highest we’ve seen it at (Spears bought for $6.75 million when it was on the market for $7.2 million). She picked up the home furniture and all so the listing pics aren’t too much different from the ones back in 2006 (except for the addition of a kid’s play area in the front yard. Spears’s father Jamie, who still has legal control over Britney until the end of the year, asked the court’s permission to sell the home. Rumor has it that she is headed to Calabasas where the paparazzi are a little less invasive. The property website is here.

The Real Estalker Mama alerted me to the extravagant Hamptons getaaway home of Joseph Gregory. Who is Joseph Gregory? He was, until last June, the Chief Operating Officer, President and Managing Director for Lehman Brothers. Gregory’s Hampton’s home is a relatively new eight-bedroom spec house which was built on 2.5 acres in Bridgehampton, New York. The Real Estalker Mama reports that after buying the home for $19 million, Gregory and his wife Niki spent several million dollars in renovations. The home includes two master suites, a second floor deck, The property includes a pool area surrounded by plush green lawns and a sandy path leading across the dunes and to the ocean. The astounding thing here, aside from the $32.5 million pricetag, is that the couple reportedly spent just 14 days in the home over two years that they owned it.

The 2008 Designer Showhouse

Saturday, September 20th, 2008 | Expensive zip codes | No Comments

alaplace1.jpgIt’s hard for me to believe that any developer with any sort of savvy would create this home in Paradise Valley, Arizona. The property is on two acres in the pricey and posh La Place enclave. The 17,000 square foot residence looks like a medieval hall updated for modern times. There are some very intricate and expensive details such as the handcarved dome and the flooring design. The heavy stone, the huge fireplaces, the dark wood, the strange stone herms placed under a chandelier and the elaborate ceilings just seem a bit much for a desert community. And it doesn’t seem fully completed, several photos show signs of work not yet completed with exposed wires and insulation. It is listed at $17.995 million. and doesn’t even look to have a pool yet.

Denny Hamlin In North Carolina

Denny Hamlin In North Carolina

Lets take a look at this home owned by Nascar driver Denny Hamlin. Hamin, a young driver on the circuit, has a rather large bachelor pad on Lake Norman in Cornelius, North Carolina. Hamlin bought the five-bedroom mansion in 2006 for $3.4 million and is said to have spent another $1 million decorating it to its current gaudy standard. The home includes lots of single guy-friendly features like a large home gym , bar area, and a dramatic red and black billiards room as well as huge plasma televisions mounted improbably high above fireplaces. It is clear that a lot of money was spent here on touches like the shiny golden home theater room, gourmet kitchen with adjoining domed breakfast room and the master bed and bath which looks a bit like a suite at the Bellagio. The property includes a pool/spa area, outdoor fireplace, basketball court, boat house and a long dock with a boat lift. This home is listed at $4.9 million.
